Project design and accreditation for forest communities, Indigenous peoples and landowners, from feasibility through validation, credit issuance and recurring verification.

    Design projects to meet the selected standard’s requirements, manage accreditation and coordinate the project’s relationship with carbon standards.

Jurisdictional REDD+ & Nesting

Credibility should serve all market actors.

  • High integrity carbon, in addition to mitigating risk for buyers, must support rights, equity and sovereignty of forest communities, Indigenous Peoples and Global South Governments. This means partnerships, not charity.
  • Deforestation is largely an economic problem. For Global conservation methodologies to work, they have to offset the opportunity costs of destructive forest pathways.
  • Scaled forest conservation requires an effective incentive mechanism. For a market-based approach to work, the science and technology must serve this end.

Neneth N. Freund

Neneth leads operations, project management and client and partner coordination. Her work includes bilingual French and Lingala facilitation and coordination with government, technical and community counterparts, particularly in the DRC. Neneth is also the founder of the Caring by Giving Foundation, a nonprofit supporting vulnerable children, families and young mothers through education, food security, vocational training, and New American cultural programs.
